Accurate, I can see most of my past+current clients fitting into all these buckets. Would love to see a follow-up on #1/#4: how to handle the alpha + silent partner types, these tend to be the hardest to deal with bc they're unforgiving, and the playbook for dealing with these personalities breaks down into a few scenarios.
I can also see there being a difference btwn the two. From my experience, #4 is diff than #1 bc you can try anything - #4 loves and respects the hustle. With #1, you rly have to understand and embody that energy to deal with #1 types, and show them time and time again you know your stuff.
Not for the purposes of this article - it's very well-written. I'm curious (if enough ppl ask for this) to go thru an example of how you handled an alpha - like what the back-and-forth was like for that very first time they hinted that they want to replace you, how you handled the immediate critique, then how they backed down after a day or 2, and how you turned the corner with the relationship.
Glad you liked it! Hard to say an exact prescription for further reading, but Robert Greene's books are a solid guide to better understand human behavior (e.g. "The Laws of Human Nature" is a long but good one). Another great book is "Dangerous Personalities".
Another fantastic book you might like: "The True Believer" by Eric Hoffer. Brilliant book with a fascinating back story. Reminds me of "The Prince" by Machiavelli, but better.

Thank you for the feedback, Kai! I know you said:

I did my best to share thoughts on how I'd handle them in this article. Do you think it needs to be fleshed out more?

Great feedback! Let me think a bit more on this one.
This is perfect, much better than the other info I've found out there on this subject. Thanks :)
Anything you would recommend for further reading?

"The Laws Of Human Nature" is one of the best books I've ever read, was planning on rereading it. I'll check out Dangerous Personalities too. :)
